CLEAR, a leading secure identity company with over 22 million members worldwide, has partnered with Wellstar Health System, one of Georgia's largest healthcare providers, to enhance the patient check-in process. The collaboration leverages CLEAR Verified technology, enabling patients to register and check in through a streamlined, secure system. As the first healthcare system to use CLEAR Verified technology—which is going to be offered as an out-of-the-box option for additional healthcare partners utilizing Epic—Wellstar co-developed this integration. The pilot location is already operational, with further rollouts planned for the latter half of 2024.
A few days before to their visit, patients who choose to participate will get a text message enabling them to pre-verify their identification. They may check in by snapping a photo at a CLEAR Verified kiosk on the day of the appointment.
CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman Becker emphasized that the initiative aims to replace traditional clipboard check-ins, making the process safer, easier, and more efficient. Dr. Hank Capps of Wellstar highlighted the integration's potential to save patients' time and enhance the overall care experience. CLEAR remains committed to privacy, ensuring members control their information without selling data. This partnership represents a significant step toward modernizing patient check-ins in the healthcare industry.
