• MOLLI Surgical’s groundbreaking product for breast cancer surgery, MOLLI 2®, launched in April 2023, is an evolution of their award winning platform technology. It uses wire-free technology to precisely locate cancerous tissue, and it improves the surgical experience for both the patient and the physician.


• At the system’s core is the MOLLI Marker®, the world’s smallest marker at 3.2 mm, which accurately marks lesions before surgery. Surgeons can easily detect the marker using the MOLLI Wand®, and the MOLLI Tablet® displays the distance and direction of the marker in millimeters. This precise measurement lets surgeons pinpoint cancerous tissue with greater accuracy.

Ananth Ravi, President and Co-Founder

Since Molli’s founding in 2018, Ravi has spearheaded the company’s mission to improve precision surgery through targeted innovation. Ananth’s unique accolade as the only medical physicist to win the Human Touch Award attests to his dedication to elevating patient care. Prior to founding Molli Surgical, Ravi’s leadership at the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Center elevated the brachytherapy program to global recognition. His doctoral studies at the University of Toronto and faculty appointments underscore his expertise in medical physics. 

John Dillon, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder

Drawing from over a decade of experience in medical technology, Dillon’s innovation journey began while working at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre before joining Molli in 2018. His dedication to enhancing the localization experience for breast cancer patients led to the co-invention of the MOLLI device. A graduate of Ryerson University with a B.Sc. in medical physics, his expertise extends beyond medical devices. His passion for innovation and leadership is evident in his involvement in designing, manufacturing, and racing sailboats and Formula One cars.

James C. Temerty C.M. is a successful entrepreneur and founder of Northland Power Inc. Before establishing Northland Power in 1987, he had a successful career in computer-related companies, building the world’s largest chain of Computerland franchises and guiding Softchoice Corporation to its position as a leading North American provider of software and hardware products.

Mr. Temerty’s entrepreneurial career has been recognized by the community in various ways, the most distinguished of which was being awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Canada in 2010.
