Their support and direction can be offered in various ways, including making sure their teams remain well-informed and inspired to achieve their objectives. The men and women recognized on this year's list have the responsibility of supervising all sales-related tasks, which encompass evaluating, executing, and reporting on sales strategies aimed at increasing revenue and expanding their companies. In the healthcare technology sector, this growth not only directly translates to a greater number of patients receiving benefits, but also to a healthier, happier society.

Among the esteemed awardees for this year include Faiza Hughell, the Chief Revenue Officer at Tebra, a leading practice automation solution for independent practices. Hughell is no stranger to success, as she previously was a critical driver of the RingCentral's SMB business growth from $23 million to over $1 billion in annual recurring revenue. Likewise, we have James Lakes, the Chief Growth & Revenue Officer at Notable, a leading intelligent automation company for healthcare. A former professional basketball player turned business executive, Lakes has spent more than two decades working at tech giants like Microsoft, VMware, and Salesforce. On top of that, Chuck Wayland deserves mention for his role as the VP and Global Head of Sales at Metabolon, where he is credited with restructuring the global sales organization to align with selling larger contracts in the commercial markets.

1. Faiza Hughell

Faiza Hughell is Chief Revenue Officer at Tebra, a leading practice automation solution for independent practices. In 2021, Kareo and PatientPop merged to form Tebra. Hughell joined Tebra in 2022 to lead the sales, account management, and channel organizations driving customer and revenue growth across all customer segments. She brings over two decades of leadership experience in empowering customers and teams. Most recently, Hughell served as Chief Customer Officer at RingCentral.

Prior to that, Hughell was SVP of Sales for RingCentral’s SMB unit, where her strategic oversight of sales and execution was a critical driver of the company's SMB business growth from $23 million to over $1 billion in annual recurring revenue. She also helped RingCentral complete a successful IPO in 2013. She also scaled and optimized its sales team. Prior to that, Hughell spent almost 10 years at Cisco WebEx, where she built the small business and sales development teams globally.

3. Bryan Distefano

Earlier in his career, Distefano worked with Marion Merrell Dow Inc. as a senior medical representative and district sales advisor. He graduated from Webster University with an MBA in management and from Rockhurst University with an undergraduate degree in business administration.

 

4. James Lakes

Title: Chief Growth & Revenue Officer

James Lakes is the Chief Growth & Revenue Officer at Notable, a leading intelligent automation company for healthcare. A former professional basketball player turned business executive, Lakes combines skills learned on the court and in the workplace to build world-class teams. Earlier in his career, he worked with Beecham Laboratories as a district sales manager. Weider earned an undergraduate degree in general studies from the University of Maryland.

 

6. Paul Flynn

Title: Executive Vice President - Global Revenue

Paul Flynn assumed the role of EVP of Global Revenue at Dexcom in March 2021. In this role, he is responsible for global sales and commercial operations. Since joining Dexcom in 2015, Flynn has previously held various roles, including SVP, General Manager Americas and Asia Pacific; and VP, General Manager, Americas and Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Dexcom, Flynn served in numerous leadership capacities at Johnson & Johnson over the span of 23 years, including more than a decade in the diabetes space for both Lifescan and Animas Corporation. While at Johnson & Johnson, Flynn established the Animas business in Canada and was also the Director, North American Sales for Animas Corporation. 7. Claudio D’Ambrosio

Claudio D’Ambrosio is the Chief Revenue Officer at ConcertAI. He first joined the company in 2020 as SVP and global head of biopharma partnerships and solutions. ConcertAI is a leader in Real-World Evidence (RWE) and AI technology solutions for life sciences and healthcare. Before that, he was a senior executive for Deallus, a global strategic intelligence consultancy for life sciences, where he rose to become the firm’s chief executive officer and board member. Notably, D’Ambrosio received his PhD in cancer biochemistry and genetics from the Francis Crick Institute in London. He also received his master’s, with a focus on biotechnology, from the University of Milan-Bicocca.

 

8. Aaron Chester

Title: Vice President of Sales

Aaron Chester is the Vice President of US Sales at CONMED Advanced Surgical, a division of CONMED Corporation. 11. Rob Fithian

Rob Fithian began his professional career 34 years ago. Today, he is the VP of Sales for Hospital & Health Systems at Teladoc Health. 14. Scott Lish

McGillivray graduated from Eastern Illinois University with an undergraduate degree in psychology.

 

19. Stephen McNeil

20. Andrew Hartmann

21. Hannah Willson

Hannah Willson began her professional career 20 years ago. 23. Ann Emilson

Ann Emilson is the EVP of Global Sales and Marketing at Tobii, a global leader in eye tracking and pioneer of attention computing. Before that, Emilson served as a VP of retail, communication and utility at CGI. Earlier in her career, she worked with Ericsson as a product manager core network. Emilson graduated from Linköping University with an MS in industrial engineering and management.

 

24. Lisa Gildea
Company: PROCEPT BioRobotics
Title: Vice President of Sales, US

Lisa Gildea began her professional career 19 years ago. Today, she is the Vice President of Sales in the US of PROCEPT BioRobotics, a surgical robotics company focused on advancing patient care by developing transformative solutions in urology. PROCEPT BioRobotics develops, manufactures, and sells the AquaBeam Robotic System: an advanced, image-guided, surgical robotic system for use in minimally invasive urologic surgery, with an initial focus on treating benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Gildea first got her start in 2004 as a regional manager at Datascope Cardiac Assist. From there, she went on to Covidien. She eventually rose to become VP of sales at Medtronic, her most recent position prior to joining PROCEPT BioRobotics. Gildea graduated from Westfield State University.

 

25. Chuck Wayland

Chuck Wayland is the VP and Global Head of Sales at Metabolon. Notably, Wayland brings more than 25 years of experience to the laboratory and medical diagnostics industries. Before joining Metabolon, Wayland led North American sales organizations for Progenity and QIAGEN.
