1. Stanley Bergman

Since 1989, Stanley M. Bergman has been Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Henry Schein, Inc., a Fortune 500® company that provides healthcare products and services to office-based dental and medical practitioners. Henry Schein has more than 25,000 Team Schein Members worldwide and affiliates in 33 countries and territories. Henry Schein is a member of the S&P 500® index. In 2023, the company's sales reached $12.3 billion. Henry Schein has earned a top score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index since 2015.

Bergman serves as a board member or advisor for numerous institutions including New York University College of Dentistry; the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine; Hebrew University; Tel Aviv University; the University of the Witwatersrand Fund; The World Economic Forum's Health Care Governors; the Business Council for International Understanding; the Japan Society; and the Metropolitan Opera. Bergman is an honorary member of the American Dental Association and the Alpha Omega International Dental Society. Bergman is a graduate of The University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and is a South African Chartered Accountant and an NYS Certified Public Accountant.

 

2. Tom Polen
Company: BD
Title: Chairman, CEO and President

Tom Polen is the Chairman, CEO, and President of BD, leading a team of over 75,000 associates. With over 25 years in medical technology, Polen began at BD in 1999 through a startup acquisition. He later joined Baxter Healthcare in 2004, where he led the injectable pharmaceuticals business. Returning to BD in 2009, Polen held various leadership roles, including president of global business units within BD’s Life Sciences segment and president of the BD Medical segment. Notably, he orchestrated the $12 billion CareFusion acquisition, expanding BD into informatics and digital health solutions. In 2017, Polen led the $24 billion acquisition of C. R. Bard, Inc. before becoming CEO in 2020 and chairman in 2021.

Polen serves on the board of directors of Advamed and Hackensack Meridian Health Center for Discovery and Innovation. He is a member of the American Heart Association CEO Roundtable and actively supports the Children’s Tumor Foundation, as well as several associations committed to helping patients with breast cancer. Polen also serves on the Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. Polen holds a bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University and his MBA from Johns Hopkins University.

 

3. John Sheridan
Company: Tandem Diabetes Care
Title: President and Chief Executive Officer

John Sheridan is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Tandem Diabetes Care, a medical device company specializing in the design, development, and commercialization of products for people with insulin-dependent diabetes. He has been a member of Tandem’s Board of Directors since June 2019 and a member of the executive management team since 2013. 

Prior to joining Tandem Diabetes Care, Sheridan served as chief operating officer of Rapiscan Systems, Inc., a provider of security equipment and systems, from 2012 to 2013. Sheridan also served as executive vice president of research and development and operations for Volcano Corporation, a medical technology company, from 2004 to 2010. From 2002 to 2004, Sheridan served as executive vice president of Operations at CardioNet, Inc., a medical technology company. From 1998 to 2002, he served as vice president of operations at Digirad Corporation, a medical imaging company. Sheridan holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of West Florida and an MBA from Boston University.

 

4. Ivan Tornos
Company: Zimmer Biomet
Title: President and Chief Executive Officer

Ivan Tornos is the President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Zimmer Biomet. Zimmer Biomet is a global medical technology company that aims to improve the patient experience through its products and suite of integrated digital and robotic technologies that leverage data, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.

Previously, Tornos held the role of worldwide president of Becton, Dickinson and Company's Global Urology, Medical, and Critical Care Division. His career trajectory includes leadership positions at C.R. Bard and Covidien International, where he served as president of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa regions. Before his tenure with C.R. Bard, Tornos held the position of vice president and general manager overseeing the Americas Pharmaceutical and Medical/Imaging segments at Covidien International. Prior to that, he served as international vice president of business development and strategy at Baxter International Inc. and held leadership roles at Johnson and Johnson for over a decade.

Tornos is an alumnus of Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program and has completed leadership and management programs at the Cox School of Business (Southern Methodist University) and the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania). He holds a master's degree from the University of Miami School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in finance and international marketing and management from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. Tornos currently serves as an independent member of the Board of Directors of global healthcare company PHC Holdings Corporation.

 

5. Joe Kiani

Title: Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Joe Kiani is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Masimo, a global medical technology company that develops and produces a wide array of monitoring technologies, including measurements, sensors, patient monitors, and automation and connectivity solutions. He is a co-founder of A Starting Point, a civic engagement media platform aimed at creating a more informed electorate, with actor and director Chris Evans and filmmaker and actor Mark Kassen. Additionally, Kiani and Mark co-founded Like Minded Media Ventures, a media company focused on connecting artists and technology to tell stories about social causes and science. Kiani received both a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering from San Diego State University.

 

6. Devdatt Kurdikar

Title: President and Chief Executive Officer

Devdatt (Dev) Kurdikar serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of embecta, a global company specializing in diabetes care. With a century-long history in insulin delivery, embecta aims to enhance the well-being of individuals with diabetes through the efforts of over 2,000 staff members worldwide.

Previously, Kurdikar was the president and chief executive officer of Cardiac Science Corporation (CSC). Prior to that role, Kurdikar was the vice president and general manager, men’s health within Urology and Pelvic Health at Boston Scientific Corp. Kurdikar was in the same role at American Medical Systems (AMS) and led the men’s health business, and then the carve-out and sale to BSX. Kurdikar holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Bombay. He earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Washington State University, a PhD in chemical engineering from Purdue University, and an MBA from Washington University.

 

7. Chris Simon
Company: Haemonetics
Title: President and Chief Executive Officer

Chris Simon is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Haemonetics. He was appointed in May 2016. Haemonetics is a global healthcare company dedicated to providing a suite of medical products and solutions for customers to help improve patient care and reduce the cost of healthcare. Their technology addresses various medical markets including blood and plasma component collection, the surgical suite, and hospital transfusion services.

Previously, he served as a senior partner of McKinsey and Company where he led the Global Medical Products Practice. Before that he served in commercial and operating roles at Baxter Healthcare Corporation and as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer in Korea and with the 1st Ranger Battalion. Simon currently serves on the Board of Directors of AdvaMed. Simon earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

 

8. Derek Lampert
Company: Drive Medical
Title: Chief Executive Officer

Derek Lampert is the Chief Executive Officer of Drive Medical. Headquartered in Port Washington, New York, Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare manufactures medical products, including mobility products, sleep and respiratory products, beds, bariatric products, wheelchairs, sleep surfaces and pressure prevention products, self-assist products, power operated wheelchairs, rehabilitation products, resident room equipment, personal care products, and electrotherapy devices. 

Lampert joined Drive Medical in 2003 as a territory manager for Ohio, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania. In 2012 he was promoted to vice president of sales for Drive's Homecare division. Lampert was promoted to senior vice president, homecare and customer experience, North America in 2017 and then to senior vice president and general manager, global business - homecare and mobility in 2018. In early 2020, Lampert was moved into the role of executive vice president, supply chain and homecare business unit and later that year was again promoted to executive vice president, chief operating officer - North America. 

While earning multiple promotions in 2020, Lampert graduated with a master’s degree from Strayer University, Jack Welch Institute, and an undergraduate degree in communications. Lampert earned the role of president in October of the same year.

 

9. Sunny Sanyal
Company: Varex Imaging
Title: Chief Executive Officer

Sunny Sanyal began his professional career 35 years ago. Today, he is the Chief Executive Officer of Varex Imaging. Varex Imaging Corporation is an independent supplier of medical X-ray tubes and image processing solutions. Its components, including medical imaging, cargo screening, and border security, are used by X-ray imaging system manufacturers around the globe to detect, diagnose, and protect patients.

Sanyal first got his start in 1989 as a ​​product developer at IDX Systems. From there, he went on to Accenture, before eventually rising to president of imaging components at Varian Medical Systems, his most recent position before joining Varex Imaging. Sanyal graduated from Harvard Business School with his MBA, from Louisiana State University with a master’s degree in industrial engineering, and from the University of Mumbai with an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering.

 

10. Scott Drake
Company: Cordis
Title: Chief Executive Officer

Scott Drake is the CEO of Cordis and has served on the Cordis Board of Directors since 2021. Cordis is an American international medical company that develops and manufactures medical devices for diagnostics and interventional procedures to treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. The company operates in the North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America markets.

Drake has over 30 years of medical device experience including as the president and chief executive officer of the Spectranetics Corporation, shareholder value increased from approximately $170 million to $2.2 billion during his six-year tenure. Drake has served on numerous boards of directors, including Zayo Group Holdings, which Digital Colony and EQT acquired for $14.3 billion, Bolder Surgical, the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA), and he has served as the chairman of Atricure, Inc. Currently, Drake serves on the Board of Directors of ViewRay, Inc. As Executive Chairman, Drake supports Cordis and Cordis-X in implementing a new business model aimed at delivering value to patients, clinicians, teammates, and shareholders.

An advocate for youth and medical research, Drake and his wife, Susan Drake, actively support the University of Colorado Health and Children’s Hospital Colorado in research and development endeavors surrounding detection, treatment, and the work to cure multiple sclerosis. Drake holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Miami University of Ohio.

 

11. Anna Lucsok
Company: Zynex Medical
Title: Chief Operating Officer

Anna Lucsok currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for Zynex Medical. Lucsok has more than nine years of healthcare operations experience. Founded in 1996, Zynex markets and sells its own design of electrotherapy medical devices used for pain management and rehabilitation. 

Previously, Lucsok served as vice president of reimbursement and sales operations with Zynex. In this position, she was responsible for leading and expanding Zynex's order, reimbursement, patient experience, and inside sales support operations. During her tenure, each of these teams achieved quarterly targets while also expanding in size. She has been involved in various operations positions as well as management positions with Zynex since her start in 2018, including serving as billing manager.

 

12. Sue Hulsmeyer
Company: MidMark Corporation
Title: Chief People and Administrative Officer

Sue Hulsmeyer began her professional career 40 years ago. Today, she is the Chief People and Administrative Officer of MidMark Corporation. Founded in 1915, Midmark Corporation is dedicated to improving healthcare experiences in medical, dental, and animal health environments. With more than 2,200 employees worldwide, Midmark aims to harmonize space, technology, and workflows to create a better experience for caregivers and patients at the point of care. Hulsmeyer has been with Midmark for 22 years, and most recently held the position of vice president, of human resources and corporate communications.

Hulsmeyer serves on the Darke County Community Improvement Council and is on the Dayton Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees. She also serves as assistant secretary to the Midmark board of directors and is a management representative for the compensation committee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Bluffton University.

 

13. Jim Cloar
Company: Aspen Medical Products
Title: Chief Executive Officer and President

Jim Cloar is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Aspen Medical Products. Founded in 1994, Aspen Medical Products, LLC develops and manufactures spinal orthopedics and pain therapy solutions. Designed to restore function and alleviate pain, Aspen’s products address a variety of patient needs across the continuum of care to help them resume activities of daily living. Headquartered in Irvine, California, Aspen has local sales representation throughout the U.S. and internationally. Cloar has more than 30 years of experience in the industry.

Before joining Aspen Medical Products in 2020, Cloar held positions with Synaptive Medical, Biotmet, Medtronic, and DePuy and most recently served as president and chief commercial officer of Spine and Robotics of Zimmer Biomet Spine. Cloar currently serves on the corporate board for Banner Industries, a provider of metal bar products to the medical and industrial markets, and Marrow Access Technologies, a supplier of novel devices for cartilage defects. He also serves as a mentor to young professionals to assist with their career growth and development.

 

14. Eric Timko
Company: OrthAlign
Title: Chief Executive Officer

Eric Timko possesses a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years in the medical device industry. As the former President and CEO of Blue Belt Technologies, successfully acquired by Smith and Nephew, Eric's strategic leadership steered the company from its developmental stage to a robust commercial force, achieving an impressive milestone of over $10 million in revenues within the first full year of commercialization. Eric joined OrthAlign as a member of the board in 2016 before being asked to step in as Chairman and CEO in 2017. At that time, OrthAlign had been used in 60,000 cases worldwide in its 8 year history. Presently, the company does over $50 million in annual revenue, served over 325,000 patients, and maintained a consistent revenue growth rate of over 20% annually for the past seven years. Eric surrounded himself with incredibly talented people throughout his career which have been the catalysts for his success.

Throughout his career, he has held pivotal roles such as President and CEO of NeuroVasx, Inc., President of Carl Zeiss Surgical, Inc., and Vice President of Siemens Medical Systems, Inc. With an astute focus on orthopedics, neurosurgery, and ENT, Eric has consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to develop dynamic teams of high performers and drive success and profitability across diverse medical specialties.

Beyond his corporate endeavors, Eric's influence extends to the Boards of iotaMotion, Nico Corporation, and the Palmetto Chapter of the Folds of Honor Foundation, reflecting his commitment to advancing medical technologies and fostering excellence within the industry and the community.



15. Olivia Lew
Company: Casana
Title: Chief Operating Officer

Olivia Lew is the Chief Operating Officer at Casana. Casana developed a smart toilet seat aimed at revolutionizing healthcare delivery by facilitating in-home health monitoring. The FDA-cleared Heart Seat® is designed to capture heart rate and blood oxygenation data, marking a significant advancement in healthcare intelligence, with implications for improved patient care and monitoring.

Prior to Casana, Lew was an investor on the early-stage team at General Catalyst. Her investment focus was on early‐stage founders building companies at the intersection of software and healthcare. She has also served on the Board of multiple health tech startups, including the Boston Chapter of the American Heart Association.

 

16. Steve Fox
Company: Zynex Medical
Title: Vice President of Sales

Steve Fox brings over 15 years of management and sales experience to his role at Zynex. Founded in 1996, Zynex markets and sells its own design of electrotherapy medical devices used for pain management and rehabilitation. 

Prior to becoming Zynex’s Vice President of Sales, he was the regional sales manager for the Texas, Great Lakes, and Mid-Central Regions throughout 2020 and much of 2021. Steve seeks to cultivate a sales team culture centered around continuous learning, adaptability, and customer focus. Under his leadership, the sales force consistently achieved targets and set new records for orders and growth over eight consecutive quarters. In the past year, Zynex experienced a 43 percent year-over-year sales increase, with peak months showing growth of over 75 percent.

 

17. Elizabeth Floegel
Company: Numotion
Title: Chief Information and Digital Officer

Elizabeth Floegel is the Chief Information and Digital Officer of Numotion. Numotion is a provider of products and services to help individuals with mobility limitations maximize their health, personal independence, and actively participate in everyday life. Floegel oversees technology strategy and information security at Numotion.

Previously, Floegel was the vice president, global business technology at Allergan. Prior to Allergan, she served as vice president of commercial and digital business technology at Baxalta. She also served as the head of digital and commercial technology at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. Floegel has a Chief Information Security Officer certification from Carnegie-Mellon, an MBA from Benedictine University, and a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University.

 

18. Joseph Capper
Company: MiMedx Group
Title: Chief Executive Officer

Joseph Capper joined MIMEDX in January 2023 as Chief Executive Officer and Director. With more than a decade of helping clinicians manage chronic and other hard-to-heal wounds, MIMEDX offers a diverse range of products designed for use in wound care, burn treatment, and surgical applications within the healthcare sector. Capper brings nearly 30 years of experience in MedTech and Life Sciences leadership roles.

Most recently, Joseph served as the chief executive officer of BioTelemetry. Prior to BioTelemetry, he served as president and chief executive officer of both Home Diagnostics and CCS Medical. Additionally, he was an officer in the U.S. Navy serving with distinction as a naval aviator. Capper received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from West Chester University and an MBA in international finance from George Washington University.

 

19. Jon Ewert
Company: Resolution Medical
Title: Chief Operating Officer

Jon Ewert began his professional career 24 years ago. Today, he is the Chief Operating Officer of Resolution Medical. Resolution Medical's mission is to provide business solutions to the medical device industry with a focus on high quality and reliability. Resolution Medical designs, develops, tests, and manufactures medical devices and components in collaboration with its customers.

Ewert first got his start in 2000 as a laser process engineer at Accellent. From there, he went on to Boston Scientific, before eventually rising to senior director of global engineering services at St. Jude Medical, his most recent position prior to joining Resolution Medical. Ewert graduated from WNU with an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering.

 

20. David Navazio
Company: Gentell
Title: Chief Executive Officer and President

David Navazio is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Gentell, Inc. and affiliated companies. Gentell is a vertically-integrated wound care company, aimed at providing efficient, affordable, patient-specific wound treatments to patients in nursing homes, hospices, hospitals, and other settings. It employs clinical specialists throughout the United States and Canada to assist with treatment recommendations and provide education about the proper utilization of wound care products.

Previously, David worked with the National Association for the Support of Long-Term Care (NASL) and chaired the committee responsible for having the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) recognize advanced wound care products. David is the Board Chair of Pearl S. Buck International. He serves as Trustee of Liguori Academy in Philadelphia and has been involved with organizations, including as the Assistant Governor for Rotary District 7510, past president of the Rotary Club of Trenton, NJ, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army, West Central New Jersey region.

 

21. Charisse Sparks
Company: Inspire Medical Systems
Title: Chief Medical Officer

Charisse Sparks is the Chief Medical Officer of Inspire Medical Systems. Inspire is a medical technology company focused on the development and commercialization of innovative, minimally invasive solutions for patients with obstructive sleep apnea. Inspire’s proprietary Inspire therapy is the first and only FDA-approved neurostimulation technology that provides treatment for moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea.

Sparks received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency in orthopedics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and fellowship training in orthopedic trauma at Harvard Medical School. She is board-certified in orthopedics specializing in orthopedic trauma. She practiced as an orthopedic trauma surgeon for over 10 years, gaining expertise in establishing and implementing ACS trauma centers, with a focus on optimizing care delivery and processes. Sparks transitioned formally into industry by joining DePuy Synthes, Inc., the Orthopaedic Company of Johnson and Johnson. Subsequently, Sparks served as chief medical officer of AppliedVR, Inc., a privately held company focused on virtual reality-based treatments that address pain and other conditions.

 

22. Anisha Vaswani
Company: Shockwave Medical
Title: Chief Digital Information Officer

Anisha Vaswani joined Shockwave Medical in November 2023 as Chief Digital Information Officer. Shockwave Medical develops and commercializes products to treat cardiovascular disease. Its unique Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology has changed the approach to treating atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. By utilizing sonic pressure waves to disrupt challenging calcified plaque, using the technology has led to notable improvements in patient outcomes.

Anisha was most recently chief information officer at Toast, Inc. She is a technology executive with over 25 years of experience in IT management. She specializes in scaling operations for companies and has held leadership roles in tech companies including Box and VMWare. Anisha earned her bachelor’s degree in management information systems from San Jose State University.

 

23. Michelle Strong
Company: iCAD
Title: Chief Operating Officer

Michelle Strong is the Chief Operating Officer of iCAD. Headquartered in Nashua, New Hampshire, iCAD® is a global medical technology provider in cancer detection and therapy solutions. The company uses clinically proven AI-powered solutions that enable medical providers to accurately and reliably detect cancer earlier and improve patient outcomes. Strong joined the company with more than 25 years of experience in marketing and healthcare technology, most recently serving as vice president of marketing strategy at Susan G. Komen. Before that role, she held senior executive roles at LRS, Dealtaker, and Belo Interactive. Her experience includes mapping long-term business strategy, marketing, branding, product development, sales, and operations, spanning a diverse set of industries including traditional and new media, retail affiliate marketing, software/hardware/cloud solutions, non-profit, and agency. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University and completed a marketing graduate program at Southern Methodist University. 

 

24. Tara Kosofsky

Tara Kosofsky began her professional career 11 years ago. Today, she is the Executive Vice President of Sales of Cartessa Aesthetics. Cartessa Aesthetics, LLC sources leading aesthetic medical devices globally for U.S. and Canadian dermatologists, plastic surgeons, cosmetic physicians, and medical spas.

From there, she went on to Cynosure, before eventually rising to area vice president of sales at Reveal Lasers North America, her most recent position prior to joining Cartessa Aesthetics. Kosofsky graduated from Appalachian State University with an undergraduate degree in communication studies.

 

25. Christine Lucas

Lucas brings more than 20 years of progressive experience in global operations including manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering. Serving most recently as vice president of operations at Zimmer Biomet Holding, Inc. Lucas was responsible for leading the Dental business unit supply chain organization including its global distribution and manufacturing footprint. Before Zimmer, Lucas held a variety of operating roles at Biomet 3i, Boston Scientific, and King Systems. Lucas earned an associate’s degree in manufacturing and mechanical engineering from the Institute Universitaire de Technologie in France and a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Université de Technologie in Compiègne, France.
