Solving Loneliness at Scale: Papa’s Andrew Parker

There's no such thing as a cookie cutter, successful entrepreneur. They come from all walks of life, experiences, skill levels, and interests.

Andrew Parker, founder of companion care company Papa, wouldn't be considered typical. He attended University of Florida, not Stanford. His company isn't SaaS or FinTech - Papa is helping alleviate loneliness and provide social support to older adults and other underserved populations.

Before he launched Papa in 2017, Andrew never even had a direct report on staff. Yet Papa is backed by traditional investors like Softbank and Comcast Ventures, and has raised $240 million to date. It reached unicorn status in Series D.

What Andrew had was a vision - nay, an obsession - and a loving grandfather who inspired his business idea.
