Medidata’s New Native App Bolsters Trial Participation, Patient Experience

Dassault Systèmes company Medidata has introduced a new application meant to give medical trial participants a seamless platform experience as well a singular login for all of their remote trial activities. The myMedidata app, designed with an initial focus on eCOA (electronic clinical outcome assessments) comes packed with its own patient-centric solutions and is already available on iOS and Android. Moreover, it can be used on either a patient’s own device or via a provisioned one.

“Our latest addition to myMedidata brings an innovative app to patients designed in concert with our patient insights team, customer feedback, and the experiences derived from running the world’s biggest DCTs [Decentralized Clinical Trials] over the last twenty years,” said Medidata Patient Cloud’s Senior Vice President, Matt Noble. “Medidata is leveraging its unique insights from sponsors, CROs, sites, and patients to make a meaningful difference in the clinical trial experience.”

The new app is a unique entity in the industry, having been unified with the entire Medidata Platform, which includes Rave EDC (electronic data capture). This creates a self-sustaining ecosystem that seamlessly blends patient input, behind-the-scenes data management, and site-based activities so that they can operate in unison.

myMedidata is configured with the company’s platform configuration tool, Medidata Designer, effectively baking a patient-focused, mobile-first workflow builder into the app. Medidata Designer can significantly cut down study build times by bringing in Medidata and client libraries, with time-saving pre-built eCOA instruments, translation, and study configurations.
