MedArrive And Bright Health Unite For Home Care Program

Tech-savvy health insurance carrier Bright HealthCare (Bright Health) has joined forces with MedArrive, a healthcare platform supporting home integration for medical services by connecting providers and payers with its healthcare logistics and services platform. The companies' collaborative program, which has already launched for vulnerable populations in Charlotte, North Carolina, is derived from Bright Health's connection with MedArrive's extensive EMS professional network. The resulting effort of home-based preventive health appointments is backed by physician-conducted telemedicine oversight to ameliorate outcomes for over 10,000 new members.

The program is perfectly suited to address the home care trend accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. By bridging the virtual care gap with a winning combination of provider-led video consultations and in-home visits from MedArrive professionals acting as Bright Health team members, this collaboration seeks to make full use of the most adaptable segment of the healthcare workforce. Additionally, EMS workers are given a chance to diversify their workload, tap into the full breadth of their training, and even bring home some extra income.

Dan Trigub, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of MedArrive, said, “Our mission is to improve people’s lives by bringing greater humanity to healthcare, and we are thrilled to partner with Bright Health to extend hands-on clinical care into the homes of those who need it most. In less than a month of working together, we have already seen the tremendous impact this partnership has in addressing health disparities—and we’re only getting started.” Despite being live for only a few months, the program has helped schedule over 400 appointments, with around 230 in-person visits already having been facilitated.
