GE HealthCare and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at developing foundation models and generative AI applications to enhance medical diagnostics and patient care. As part of this initiative, GE HealthCare has chosen AWS as its strategic cloud provider to harness the power of AI for creating innovative medical technologies. This partnership will utilize AWS’s Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker services to develop and deploy customized generative AI applications, which are expected to transform clinical workflows, increase diagnostic accuracy, and improve patient outcomes. GE HealthCare’s internal developers will also leverage Amazon Q Developer and Amazon Q Business to accelerate software development and explore the intersection of clinical and operational data, aiming to reduce the cognitive burden on physicians and enhance personalized care.
