This partnership will leverage the capabilities of EnsoSleep PPG, an FDA-cleared software as a medical device algorithm, in conjunction with Nonin's WristOx2 Model 3150, a wrist-worn pulse oximeter. The joint solution offers an affordable home-based sleep apnea testing option for sleep labs, addressing a significantly underserved patient population. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) affects nearly one billion people globally, and this collaboration aims to improve access to early diagnosis and care.
Nonin Medical, founded in 1986, is known for its durable and accurate pulse oximeters and noninvasive monitoring devices. EnsoData’s AI platform, meanwhile, connects sleep disorder diagnosis to treatment, allowing clinicians to diagnose conditions efficiently. By integrating Nonin’s WristOx2 with EnsoSleep PPG, the partnership enables sleep staging and event detection analysis, enhancing the diagnostic process.
